Through BikePOC PNW, you didn’t just help co-found a cycling group, you helped build a true community. One where so many of us, especially those who didn’t always see ourselves reflected in cycling, finally felt seen. Felt welcome.

And then there was the PDX Tour de Espresso. It wasn’t just about the miles or even the coffee. It was about the laughter, the friendships, the way you brought people together, rain or shine. And the best part? You didn’t even drink coffee. Always that decaf cappuccino, like a quiet joke only a few of us got.

We remember how happy you were after every ride with your friends, especially those tough, soul-shaking trails with the OMTM crew. You’d come home covered in mud and glowing with joy, already reliving every turn, every climb, every shared moment. Those rides lit you up from the inside.

That was your magic. You had a way of creating joy wherever you went. You made space for others. You rode with so much heart, and you led with so much love.

The road doesn’t feel the same without you. But your spirit is still here. In every laugh, in every ride, in every quiet moment we remember you.

That’s why we started Moody Cyclist a small way to carry your light forward. To bring a little joy, a little warmth, and a whole lot of love to every cyclist who catches the scent of a candle and smiles.
